Spring has sprung! Last night, I walked to a local restaurant for dinner with family & friends. It was such a long-awaited warm evening, we decided to sit out on my brother’s porch afterward engaging in good conversation. Suddenly – a car coming out of the neighbors driveway rams into my car and then takes off! Not being fast enough in my Sketcher sandals, the villain got away. It happened so fast, it was dark, & we were not able to get a license plate number.

I took it pretty well and was quite confident that all would get settled until ——- I found out that I would be responsible for the $1000 deductible if we were not able to find out whodunit!

The next day, we watched & waited for the neighbors return. I was so hoping that things would go nicely, but I admit, I was already planning my detective strategies in case it didn’t (one of my friends calls me Barnie Fife). Finally, the neighbor returned and thank goodness, she confessed to the accident.

- Today, I consider myself very fortunate that someone took accountability for
their actions. It not only saved me time & money, but also some stress.

Healthy Suggestion: By the way, if you happen to live in an area where you can walk to local stores or restaurants, it’s a great way to get in some extra steps. Pick up the pace a little to kick your metabolism up a notch. It’s a good family/friends activity & might even give you some points toward rewarding yourself with a small treat.
