<p>Well, in reality, the best time truly is whenever you are actually  going to do it.</p>
<p>Look, some people love to get their training in first thing in the  morning.</p>
<p>Some love to go during their lunch hour.</p>
<p>And, of course, many people just wait until after work.</p>
<p>Hey, with some many people completely out of shape and unhealthy  give yourself huge credit whatever time you go and workout, so long as you actually go! <img src='http://www.healthpathtoday.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';-)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>But many people are confused as to what and when they are supposed to  eat based on when they get their workout in.</p>
<p>And they are also baffled as to when they should take their  supplements.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p> Last night, the West Virginia University (WVU) Mountaineers and the University of Kentucky (UK) Wildcats  squared off to see who will move on to the Final Four of the NCAA Championship.  This presented a very difficult choice for me &#8211; do I choose WVU , having been born and &#8220;raised&#8221; in West Virginia; or do I pick UK &#8211; the team from where I have lived for the past 10 yrs, and the reason I have become more of a basketball watcher to begin with?  UK has been so exciting to watch this year &#8211; flashy players with jaw-dropping moves&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.so appealing.  West Virginia &#8211; the powerful, defensive workhorse -not quite as flashy and much less hype than UK.  </p>
<p>All of this made me think of the challenges that we face when making decisions for our own health.  Do you choose the luscious-looking food loaded with fat and calories or the less attractive &#8220;workhorse&#8221; food that is better for you?  Do you choose the processed foods over &#8220;real&#8221; food? Do you choose inactivity over activity?</p>
<p>Well -WVU won.  How did they beat the Wildcats?   They had a plan, a strategy that worked for them; if it stopped working, they changed it.  They were committed to winning and made it happen.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>Researchers at a recent conference in Barcelona  estimate that 25-30% of breast cancer cases could be avoided with healthy lifestyle changes such as improvements in diet and exercise.  The figures were cited from the International Agency for Research on Cancer which is part of the World Health Organization.  These recommendations are in line with current advice that lifestyle changes such as smoking cessation, diet, exercise and decreasing sun exposure can play significant roles in reducing risk factors for certain cancers.  Dr. Michell Holmes of Harvard University who has studied cancer and lifestyle factors agrees.  She states that people incorrectly think that their risk of cancer depends more on their genetics rather than lifestyle changes.</p>
